Surprise Book - January 2026

Our first Zoom gathering of 2026 was a lovely chance to catch up and see what people have been creating since our last meeting in October.

The theme 'Surprise' led to lots of different styles and topics:

Janet B created a book based on a Chinese thread book to conceal several mini books about her recent adventures in Rome:

Pat's 'surprise' was hidden inside her little house pop-out book...

Judi had repurposed some gorgeous cards from the 'Lost Words' card game with a fabulous hand decorated cover:

Ruth had re-discovered some fabulous Roald Dahl paper goodies in her paper-stash and brought us 'Fantastic Mr Fox', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and 'The BFG':

And Margaret had delved into the fascinating history of women's clothing to create a pocket book... which was all about pockets!

Our next meeting will be on Zoom on 26th April with the theme of Time, Clocks and Watches, and a possible flag book structure.
